East Africa Association for Research and Development, shortly known as (DAD), is an organization that works on initiating and enhancing research and development projects in East Africa. The organization’s motto is ‘Towards A Better Life’. DAD focuses on research, youth empowerment, supporting business initiatives, knowledge sharing, training and humanitarian work. It is head quarter is in Istanbul, Turkey. DAD was founded on March 28th, 2017 by a team of young intellectuals who studied in Turkey and prominent East African academicians.
These young scholars are prominent figures in their respective fields with the shared vision of cultivating sustainable development in East Africa through research and evidence-based policy interventions. The motivations for its creation include addressing development challenges and enhancing regional collaboration.
Since its establishment, DAD has to achieve remarkable milestones in research and publications, capacity building, collaboration and networking, and community development projects. The organization’s commitment to evidence-based policies and sustainable development has made it a key player in East Africa’s development landscape.
