The Director General of the East Africa Association for Research and Development (DAD), along with his delegation, recently concluded a productive visit to Puntland, Somalia, focused on strengthening collaboration in education and research.
During their time in Garowe and Bosaso, the delegation participated in several significant events. The Director attended a pre-conference and the 25th-anniversary celebration of East Africa University held in Garowe, where the institution’s contributions to the region were highlighted. Additionally, he participated in the handover and graduation ceremony of Redsea University, celebrating its achievements in higher education.
The delegation also visited prominent schools, including Gambool in Garowe and Imamu-Nawawi in Bosaso, engaging with educators, students, and community leaders to explore opportunities for deepening educational cooperation. The Director General delivered insightful public lectures to various groups in Puntland, emphasizing the vital role of education and research in driving sustainable development across East Africa.
This visit underscores DAD’s commitment to promoting academic excellence and collaboration, paving the way for expanded educational opportunities in Puntland and beyond.
